Clyde Gobble North Carolina Covered Bowl Dish with Mushroom Motif

This is a fabulous piece of North Carolina Folk art pottery made by Clyde Gobble. This functional covered dish has the traditional Gobble mushroom handle and lid pull motif. It also has nice turning marks and etching. The etching is highlighted with dark blue slip glaze. The base glaze is a brown earthtone both inside and out. The dish portion is 4 inches deep and 8 inches across the top. Signed "Gobble 86" on the bottom. This would be a perfect addition to your mushroom motif collection or a nice gift for a pottery lover.
